My thanks to http://www.rachelashley.co.uk/ for reminding me of this reminderable look back at the ways thing were back when we looked back at them.

On another "note". We are surrounded by self-proclaimed production/creative/branding experts who all live in such a bubble that they have no idea what happens outside in the real world, the world full of big boys and girls.

So, you think y'know about production, creativity and branding? THIS is how the grown-ups do it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bSkmSTIN_3k&list=RDAblV0SayESw&index=2

And here's a look at the production of WABC New York's jingles from several years ago:

Jam Creative Productions, whose founder, Jonathan Wolfert, gave us the peek into the production seen in the video that Bruce linked to, has been doing jingles for WABC and stations around the world since 1975.

Ten years later, they created a song featuring the call letters/monikers of many of their client stations. It's a great piece of audio production and a favorite of jingle buffs.

Hear the song and check out the other links on this page:

Continuing with Jam Creative Productions, this is the 43-minute demo package they sent on vinyl LP to radio stations in 1978, which highlighted all their services, and was narrated by WABC's Dan Ingram and the late VO/Actor Mason Adams (long the voice of Smucker's).

This is an mp3, downloadable as a zip file.

This all reminded me of a great Frasier episode where he writes his own jingle.

Priceless.

The old PAMS jingle studio is now a busy recording studio catering to the ad industry. The tracking room where they used to record the singers is still there and the place has mojo to spare. I've recorded many commercials and narrations there.

My friend Tracy Carman has bought the master tapes of at least one now-defunct jingle company. He literally has a warehouse to store everything. He also has the website www.jingles.org. For the true anoraks, he offers bundles of old jingles for purchase.
