This has happened before and pops up from time to time. Either boil the water thoroughly or use distilled. |

Let the water cool after boiling. (That's for Rick. He listens to pop music.) |

Mr. ‘O’ thinks that anything that isn’t RUSH is pop music.
Well here’s the news my friend, I clear my head with The Blues! Two Albert Kings in the morning and a Tab Benoit at night. And I’ve never used a Neti Pot, but if I did, it would be filled with Single Malt Whiskey!
I hope that clears the air. Because it certainly does the sinuses! _________________ Never do anything you wouldn't want to explain to the Paramedics

But, that's pop music. Verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, chorus, end of song. Most music made fits that mold, some with slight variations. From bubblegum pop to heavy metal, country and rap. Just because a 13-year-old doesn't listen to it doesn't mean it's not pop. (Yep, that's a triple negative!) |

GASP! How dare you discredit the wonder, the beauty, the sacred BLUES genre?!!? I'm going to go cry into my neti pot then flush my sinuses with my own hot tears. _________________ 006 member of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Mic. Bonded by sound.

Ok, we are officially of topic here, so let er rip...
There aren’t enough words to say how wrong you are. I'm going to allow the great Albert King to explain a little of what the blues are, as apparently, you’ve never had that lesson. And then he’ll make his guitar explain the rest.
Afterwards, you tell me how this fits into your little ‘pop tune formula’.

Sure, but if you want Dan to participate you'll have to call it IT'S ONLY RUSH AND I LIKE IT _________________ Never do anything you wouldn't want to explain to the Paramedics

OOooo, can we?
And, that's where you're assumption, Rick, is incorrect. Yes, there is an affinity to Rush. However, they quickly encapsulate the music that I lean towards: instrumental orchestrations. I was raised by parents with, uh...bad taste in music if we listened to it at all. (There, I said it.) It wasn't until I joined the school band in fourth grade that I was exposed to music. Long pieces where the music drove the emotion and internal visualization of a story. I could create my own narrative; a movie created solely around the soundtrack if you will. It was and is my escape.
To turn this back toward VO, I've found that I often fall into that same zone during narration sessions. The words on the page are simply notes to be played, but, when conducted with a visualized backstory you can connect with others at an emotional level. And that's when the magic happens.
Now, where were we? Ah, yes, shooting water out our noses.
