Pop quiz, hotshots!

You can buy a UA apollo mk 1 loaded with presets or a mk 2 as-is for the same price. What do you do?

Presets are the devil's work and will lead you down the path to hell... or something like that.

Seriously... why do you need presets? Your signal path should be as clean as possible for VO... no futzing around. IF you find you need some minor adjustments, make them yourself and tailor them to your voice, your environment, and your mic. In our simple world of recording a voice as cleanly as possible, a minimalist approach to a signal chain is the wisest one.

But then who will I blame if I’m not getting work? My SELF??

Seriously though... doesnt one of them have a very handy noise-gate?

fix your recording space & chain, and you won't need a noise gate.

Just get this.
It's on sale for $29 now. If you ever *need* noise reduction or click removal, this does the trick. And you can load the plugins to whatever DAW you have.
