At the end of May I did my billing but struggled to get info to NBCUniversal. I did a little digging and one of the Middle Earth Gnomes from accounts let me know that there was no authorisation for me. My 6 month contract had expired in April so the work I'd done in May ... OMG!

SILENCE. Until yesterday lunchtime. Document arrives. New contract backdated to April. FABBY! For a number of years the contracts have been for 6 months. Not this time. 12 month contract! Hoorah!

The really nice, supportive part? I posted a Tweet saying I was delighted not only with a new contact from NBCUniversal but double delighted + chocolate sauce and sprinkles with the fact it is for a year! The replies run into the twenty several (estimate) and every one of them effectively saying "Hoorah, hoopla and Hussar for you elderly and frail man!"

Delightful experience.

I'm sure that like me most of you find social media at best disappointing and oft times wearisome. So yesterday when I read a genuine out pouring of "Fabby!" with no agenda my spirit was lifted so high that beyond the clouds it could hear Angels whispering joyous secrets unot the bosom of the Stars.
