Loved this from a Craigslist ad:

I'm always surprised at the number of people I hear who say pronounciation. Hey, at least he spelled grammar correctly. |

HA - love it! I guy I know insists on using "per batim" rather than 'verbatim" i.e. "I repeated it per batim." Who is this Batim? I would ask.
it's fun to make fun of other people. _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis

I worked for a fellow that used the word "mongreloid" in reference to those who were more stupid than he was. A mighty small percentage of the population, by the way. |

I love it when a thread gets on this rant.... my favorites -- which have actually turned up in news copy:
Penny Annie
ludacris (and they weren't referring to a rap "star")
Beckon Call

Our local news station ran a "man on the street" interview a few winters back with a tow truck driver who said that people were having a rough time on the snow covered roads: " 'cause they can't get no gription!"

Well, actually, while the one I saw this morning tickled my funny bone - this one really got to me.

As I have mentioned before, my day job is on a University campus. It's nice to see the parent's tuition going to good use.
