Sometimes no critique is good critique??? I listened, like them- and couldn't think of any constructive criticism...then I figured I'm way too new to this business to offer much anyway and didn't post
Good luck on getting experienced feedback!!! _________________ Threadjackers local 420

If your ears didn't bleed from the pain of listening to them, then that's all I can really ask for, eh? _________________ Jeff

Jeffrey,
I listened to your Commercials demo a few times. Overall it's very good. I like the variety of voices, the consistent levels, and while it's a little over a minute long it doesn't seem to drag.
I like the slate, nice clean sound.
The first spot... is that your money voice? I like the warm feel you have in it. There's some weird compression or something that's a little distracting to me. defense, fraud... it's the s's and the f's that are standing out. I wouldn't worry too much about it now but keep an eye out for spots where you showcase that warm voice even better to stick in your demo.
I'd move the 2nd spot back some, It feels more "character" to me. Or perhaps if you are working on character voices you could make a separate demo.
Next couple are okay.
I'd move the "it's the little things that make dad great" spot up earlier in the demo. Maybe make it third. It's a little too close to the opening spot to be in the 2nd position I think but I really like it.
The back store spot doesn't do much for me, I'd drop it.
A wise member of this board once said a good demo should have a beginning, middle, and end. I'm still having trouble with that on my demos, but I'm starting to understand what he means. I'm not sure you should conclude with the spork bit. I don't feel like your demo ends, it stops abrubtly.
Overall it's a good demo, thank you very much for sharing it. I hope my little constructive criticism helps. _________________ Hart Voice Overs Blog
