Is there a remote mode for Adobe Audition? My old Sound Forge has a feature where I can pull up a script, open Sound Forge, put it record mode and click remote. The Record-Play-Stop bar for SF apears without the wav display and small enough to read around it. It saves alot of paper from the printer and works great for the mobile unit. I can't find anything similar on Audition. Does anybody know if it exists?
Thanks

I'm not sure why you can't simply hit record, then click on the script and have it pop up in front of Audition? You could set things up so that you could see the level bar underneath the script if you want and then be able to quickly swtich back to Audition to stop the recording.
You can also squish the screen down so that the only thing you see is the control bar along the bottom of the Audition screen and have your script squished so that it floats in the rest of the screen. I've done that before I got Vox Studio - when I had to cut and paste file names from Excel to Audition - over and over and over again while I was editing. I do see that Audition has a minimum window size.
In the case of the Excel example, they were both horizontal rectangles, so it worked - just had both windows open and sized and squished so that the relevant parts of each window was visible at the same time. With copy being more horizontal, you might have to move Audition to one corner and use the rest of the screen for the script.
But I may not be understanding your question... _________________ Playing for a living...

Wait - I found it - the Transport Controls can be detached from the main screen and float anywhere you want them. Look for the two thin vertical bars next to the record, stop, start, etc. buttons - click - hold - and drag off the Audition screen and you can put it anywhere you want.
Thanks for making me find that. _________________ Playing for a living...

Connie thanks for the help with Audition.
MCAI is the single best networking group I've found. I've been a member for about 6 years now and have made wonderful friends and networked into many many projects that I would not have found otherwise. Thanks for serving as president.

Hey - you're welcome - tell all your producer/director/editor/audio studio types about MCA-I - they are the core of the group and we need them! _________________ Playing for a living...
