I am so jealous now. No offense to all you wonderful people, but I would loved to have heard DLF and Pat.

All I can say is Wow.

Obviously Wow for all the information being jammed into my wee small brain...

Wow for Pat's session today - he's so awesome - just a major battery, heart and soul recharger is he....that was today, right? Like Tom said, it's all meshing - days have no meaning here.. It was too funny for Pat's session. Before he came in the room, they handed out sunglasses to EVERYONE in the conference, so when Pat walked in, we were all wearing the same kind of sunglasses he has on in his pic....it's that wild and crazy Vegas living you hear about, huh?

I shook DLF's hand tonght..still can't wrap my brain around that one...me, a former news reporter who's interviewed Bob Dole, Ross Perot, Al Gore etc, stood in line with my heart literally pounding my chest because I was going to have my pic taken w/ Don...wow. What a genuine, nice guy

But also WOW for connecting with the VOBB tribe members here. From the moment I walked into the meet and greet to the mess of us jamming into Liz's room tonight to watch the Channel 8 news (for that amazing local anchor fella) it's like being at a school reunion with old dear friends.

This whole experience is such an affirmation of how blessed we are to be doing what we do and having the opportunity to create our own realities and associate with like minded square pegs who live in a round hole world....and to finally really really see that although we march to our own drummer....there's an entire huge percussion section out there playing the same tune....does that make any sense.....sleep deprivation is kicking in.....but what was that earlier about Sleep, who needs sleep?

Please do remember to pick up the nasty undergarments and llama droppings before mom gets home....she'll FREAK. But the purple walls would go great with the chairs in the buffet here!

:-P

And let me add, that while Moe, Liz, et al were crammed in the hotel room watching the newscast, Donovan Corneetz, Michael (Maiku) Rhys and I were in the TV studio a few feet from Dave while he was doing that newscast! Courvo, you are a prince! Thank you for the tour and being such a wonderful host.

Well, I managed to make Don La Fontaine laugh when I was getting my picture taken with him, and now my camera is gone.

WHAT THE FRACK!!!

It's a Canon Optura 20--if anyone here in Vegas saw it, could you let me know?

In other news: Don La Fontaine was here at VOICE to speak to the group.

w00t!
Deebs

Holy carp, that really sucks! (The camera part, not the DLF part...) I hope you find it soon, Deebs!

Let me get this straight. People stood in line for the opportunity to shake DLF by the hand and have a photo taken with him?

I have an image in my mind of him flanked by Cardinal Cipriano and Monsignor Saulsbury, the latter has a bowl of water taken from the Chinese Theater rest rooms. As he annoints each pilgrim all say "in the name of the Neumann, the Sennheiser and the pop shield. Asession".

Am enjoying reading the reports, delighted to hear that everyone is having a wonderful time.

Well, Don was perched on a kind of bar stool, and the long line and whole picture-taking event reminded me of something from my childhood. . . so when my turn came, I put my arm through his and said "Santa, can I have a U-87 for Christmas?"

It HAS been amazing!

Got my picture taken with Pat and the Don too!!! WOOHOO!!!
Dave is right...if it ended today the $$$ were all worth it!

....and Dave, just so you know, TGG, Pam, Moe, Diane, Lynn, Todd, Amy, Amanda (new VO-BBer and my roommate) and I were all in my room last night cheering every time you came on the screen during your newscast last night!

Could ya hear us hootin' & hollerin' from where you were across town? Laugh

This has truly been a life & career altering experience for me.
Yeah, I know, sounds a bit dramatic, but you know sometimes you participate in something that you just KNOW is going to have a lasting effect on you...THIS is one of those times for me.....

So..who's savin' up for next year?

Liz

...and has anyone remembered to feed the Llama???? Kiss

Include my WOW!!! along with all of the others who aren't in Vegas. I've looked forward to the daily updates. It's very generous of you'll to take the time to e-mail us who couldn't make it (boo-hoo). The photos are great. Since I'm fairly new to this site, I'd also love it if someone would put the names to the faces when you return.

cheers,

Chrissy

I am soooo upset that I can't be there. I don't see how this event can be topped but I am sure the next one will be just as good. Maybe Banksey will be there and we can all line up to snap pics with him.

Now, SOMEBODY PLEASE SHOOT ME IF I CAN'T BE AT THE NEXT ONE.
