Hi! I'm new to the board and was wondering something. Are there any Denver/Boulder area talent here who get together in-person or would like to? I think it would be interesting and helpful to see each other's studios, visit local vendors and studios as a group, and compare notes on marketing, auditioning, etc. I figure that no two people sound exactly alike, so we are not exactly competing against each other. Why not be colleagues?

If there's already a group like this, I'd love to hear about it. If not, and there's interest, I'd be willing to facilitate such a group through meetup.com.

What do you say?

Rick -

I'll be at the restaurant tomorrow at 1pm for lunch. Bring bags of cash. You're buying.

I'm about halfway between Denver and Boulder - in Broomfield - where you?

Maybe we can get Tom to come down here to around 5300 or 5400 ft altitude where we have some air to breathe - then you can buy lunch for all of us.

Hey Tom - how'm I doin'? I think Rick is about to offer to buy us lunch!

Hi Rick - this is Tammy - I'm not from Denver, but I know there was a Rachel from Denver at the conference. I have her card and I thought she was going to get on the board. I'll try and contact her and hook you two up - plus hook her up here, if she isn't already. Wink Tammy

Rick and all of you living in the mile high region..

I was holding a monthly copy workout at the Denver Center, did that for over a year and a half, but not now that I'm moving. That is being taken over by some of the folks at the Denver Center. It was great, we would have anywhere from three to 15 people show up and throw copy down.

There is a marketing group that is currently meeting, if you want more information, contact Hilary Blair at the Denver Center Theatre Academy. She teaches VO there, is a working Voice Actor and also coaches.

Great resources here in town, just have to stumble across them!

Thanks for the posts. Actually, most of us on this board who are in or near Denver of have the same agent. So, uh, I know where you live! I'll let you know if I come up with some brilliant idea for us.

Chris. Where are you going? Can I have all your Denver clients? Thanks.
