|
|
Hi Everyone,
When I built my studio last summer, I bought two Tannoy Reveal Active 6.5" Nearfield Monitors. I hooked them up in August, and I turned them on a total of three times. Then when it came time to hook up the rest of the equipment I bought in the winter, I took the cables that were hooked into the monitors and used them elsewhere. So, since January, those monitors have been sitting there, not even plugged in. I don't think I'm gonna use them... I listen to everything thru my headphones.
So....... they're for sale!!
Two NEW Tannoy Reveal Active 6.5" Nearfield Monitors!!!!!!
Any takers? I don't have the original boxes, but I promise I'll pack 'em well for shipping.
I don't know what to ask for them, so PM with me an offer. I paid $600. Buyer will have to pay shipping. Come from a smoke-free, kid free, non-shedding dog home. The monitors have been in my studio the whole time.
Here are the specs:

They each feature a 1 in. soft dome tweeter is matched with a 6.5 in. long-throw bass unit, two 50-watt amplifiers, and electronic crossover. Hi Caryn,
I am in the market for some studio monitors. What model exactly do you have? The Tannoy website lists a bunch of Reveal models. |

You know, I googled them when I was posting and found many sites have discontinued them, which leads me to believe they don't make this particular one anymore. Which to me is odd... I just bought them at the end of July.
They are:
Two 6.5" Tannoy Active Real Nearfield Monitors
The technical specs are above. Though I'm not sure if I would call the color "Azure Blue" ... it's more like a greener blue color. But dark.
The on/off switches are in the back (not in the front the like pic of the Reveal 5A pic on their site).
Let me know if I can answer any other questions!! Thanks!!! _________________ Caryn Clark... The Hip Chick Voice!

If you look on the back of the speaker, there should be a model number right there along with the serial number and probably an ohm rating. _________________ Jeff

Whew... that 18lbs is heavy!!
Here's what it says on the back of one of them:
Reveal USA 110/120v
Serial No: 003532
Then a barcode with the following numbers under it:
80010280030617003532
MADE IN POLAND
Hope this helps! _________________ Caryn Clark... The Hip Chick Voice!

Hi,
I found the same ones on eBay (can tell they're the same from the pic - he added that thing on the top though himself - mine don't have that) -- they're advertised as Tannoy Active Reveal 5 Nearfield Monitors.
The auction still has 4+ days to go... I'll be curious to see what they sell for.

The auction on eBay ended today. The monitors there sold for $427.
I'll be a-listing mine on eBay if I have no takers here. Probably tonight.
Thanks everyone!!! _________________ Caryn Clark... The Hip Chick Voice!
