I know I'll get honest answers from you guys.

It's been a while, but I finally updated my demo. And even though I've been doing this long enough, I'm still my own worst critic.

I appreciate your thoughts and suggestions.

The thing that stands out (to me) is that they all sound pretty much the same (meaning your voice). I had to replay it to figure out where the first commercial slides into the second (even though the woman's voice is there to break it uHobo Happy. Your first voice should be your "money maker," but then there needs to be some variation in it. That said, the quality of the recording and mixing is good and your voice sounds real.

My 2 centavos.

Matt,

That's what I was afraid of... the variation. there are hard sells, soft sells, and medium sells. i was toying with the idea of mixing some of the spots around. but trying to come up with a mix that flows, and sells... that's the hard part. i think this is the toughest time i've ever had mixing a demo.

thanks!

I wasn't timing it, but it felt long despite the rate of change from one to the next. I think that it was because all the spots were for the most part similar.

I have to do some recording here in a few moments. While at the mic, I'll slate your name and send it over. If you don't like it, of course you don't have to use it. But, a woman's voice at the beginning (and end) could add a little extra punch.

I'm redoing my demo next week, and I'm most concerned about the flow and timing...just like you had mentioned. THAT's the hard part!

Briefly:

Start by whittling it down to one minute.
6-7 elements, only the best stuff, with the VERY best as the leader. As big a sonic variety as possible.

Watch your pronunciation of "ING", it sounds like "EEN".
