That's exactly right. The 1 and 2 inputs use the preamps. 3 and 4 are line inputs. I actually did this on purpose not too long ago, but only because I didn't have proper cable. The results were... less than acceptable. _________________ Hart Voice Overs Blog

I found that I needed to engage the +12 gain in the Firebox Hardware Settings for the #3 line input to get suitable levels, but fortunately this did not make the track noisier nor did it have the bad influences of the firebox preamp, which completely degrades the sound. |
