Wow, I've never heard of so many right hand/left eye dominant folks. The creative streak for sure! Any of you wear monovision contacts? Is your distance lens in your left eye?
Years ago, I was an optician, & for those above of bifocal age, if you ever try monovision contact lenses (one eye corrected for near, the other for distance) please let your doc know your situation. They put the distance lens in your dominant eye (which is most commonly the same eye as your dominant hand). I think it would be harder to adjust if the lenses were switched.
Btw, I've been wearing monovision lenses for years (except in that infernal arid LV climate during VOICE) & even though in theory it sounds weird, your brain will actually only process the "clear" eye image, effectively removing the "blurry" eye image, since both at once would be confusing. And that is how you can see clearly both near & far without wearing "bifocal contacts."
That concludes today's optical lesson. Now back to our regularly scheduled programming. _________________ Mary |

It took me a while to find the guy, but I'm also colorblind, which doesn't help.
I'm right handed / left eye dominant...never even heard of the "eye dominant" thing before this thread. Bizarro! _________________ Lou Zucaro

I guess I'm the oddball of this group then, since I'm right-handed and right-eye dominant. _________________ Be well,

I am left hand/eye/foot/elbow/ear/nostril/etc... dominant. I believe if I lost my right hand I wouldn't realize it until I went to shift.
Maybe typing too. _________________ Try to imagine a world where there is no such thing as hypothetical situations.

That's me! After 3 eye surgeries on my Right eye...I still see crappy out of it! (due to severe Amblyopia - aka Lazy-Eye - for you Optically inclined out there!)
...so I TOO am Right handed/Left eye dominant....cause I can't see good outta my Right eye!

i SWEAR this is a true story: i grew up with a guy who, at age 9, shot his left eye out with a b.b. gun. i knew him all through grade school, high school and beyond. in high school he started to develop a condition in his RIGHT eye that required glasses - but they bothered him so he rarely wore them. he always claimed he was "blind in one eye and couldn't see out of the other".
i still see him sometimes at his job ... he is a college baseball umpire. _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis

I looked at that picture for a min and then scrolled down. I thought it was one of the magic eye things as well! Once I knew that it wasn't, I went back and found him with 5 seconds.
That right/left eye things is really interesting as well! Appears I'm an oddball like you, Bob, right handed and right eye dominant. _________________ www.michelleann.com |

I'm with you Bob....I can't stand the taste OR the smell of coffee. That doesn't mean I don't like caffeine...No-Doz works great for me -- all the fun, without the nasty taste..
As for the man in the coffee beans.... :02
