Yes, they ask - you have to have a good speaker phone and your playback speakers close to the speaker on the phone. They can hear inflections - not much else. That's why a phone patch is better. _________________ Playing for a living...

I cannot believe after all that I forgot to put in my Skype moniker, it is: ispeekup - in case you choose to know.

I use Skype ALL the time for phone patches, interviews, and reviewing things with clients. My Skype ID is jessespringer. I think I may already be friends with a number of you, but if not, feel free to add me. I'm happy to chat anytime I'm on!

This question's kinda been answered, but I do in many ways think it is the "new ISDN", besides the fact that it doesn't really work in the same way. You wouldn't want to use Skype on the receiving end to record a talent's performance. Someone mentioned the quality is too low. Very true. But you can use Skype to act as a phone patch and MP3 the recorded session to the client after you hang up. I'm a big fan of that. |

Yes and no. A lot depends upon your sound card configuration. If you have the ability to input directly from the timeline of your DAW software you can play anything you wish...
With the above caveat in mind, (and I know this is the cheap way of doing things) I have added an AB Audigy 2 ZS card to my PC. With a little help from Creative Labs "What You Hear" in the Windows Recording Control - anything you play on the computer through the sound card is routed into Skype.
If you wish to try this sound process out; give me a jingle and I will let you hear you how the process works and sounds. Skype-to-Skype it is not bad.
