Well THAT was fast!
They had scheduled the session @ 11am....I was connected, they connected....BUT THAY HAD NEVER SENT THE SCRIPT! (& I left messages to the two contacts I had an hour ago....no response!)
And this was an English & French recording for a studio that wants to add me to their roster & this is their demo script to put up on their website!
Yeah....so I tell the engineer that I had no script..."Well That's dumb, they should have sent that to you when they booked the session" (2 Weeks ago!)
So he emailed it....I printed it....reading off the screen as it printed to get an idea of just WHAT i was going to record!
So I did it with about a minute to review....Luckily I'm good at cold reads, but, man, I would really have liked a bit more time......OK...maybe I'm cynical and this was test to see how I work fast/on my feet?
Oh well...it's done!
OH, the session went great connection-wise!
(Bob: Thanks for the tip about waiting a beat before responding...that lag is a bit weird!)

Liz,
You're welcome. And I'm so glad to know the session (technically) went well. Strange about the script though. But, you're a pro and dealt with it as you needed to, just as I would expect you would. Good for you. And may you get a ton of high-paying jobs from this new client. _________________ Be well,

Nice going, Liz!
Seems the oversight in sending you the script speaks volumes (ha ha!) about just how important VO is to a project.
Not really, but it did make me stop and say _________________ sitting at #8, though not as present as I'd like to be. Hello!
