Granted, this came out a while ago but on the road back from an event in Toronto tonight, I caught this song from John Waite and Alison Krause on the radio and I have been listening to it for the past 1/2 hour. Video sucks (just listen) but John has really redone his original proud,

A.K. has a beautiful voice. big fan from waaaay back. her old(er) bluegrass stuff is great! one of my first big digital projects was mashing her version of "when you say nothing at all" with a recently dead keith whitley's.

AK is my wife's favorite artist. Back when we were dating I surprised my sweetie with front row seats to see her with Union Station. It's amazing what strings you can pull when you're a radio Hobo Laughing. Also, it's amazing the brownie points you get from the girlfriend when you put her on the front row for her fav artist.

Hmm, maybe I should take her to another concert sometime. Seems such a shame to actually pay for tickets like the unwashed masses though. Laugh just kidding, lol.

Just thought it was interesting that they had Neuman mics for the video, but the sound is definitely a C-12. With the Neuman's being placed where they were in the video, there would have had to be s-o-o-o-o-o-o-o much gain, and you would not have heard much of john most of the time...

The lip sync was passable, but not "spot on" too. (I know I look at the little things that no one else sees... but it's a passion. Do it right, or don't do it all).

Shows you how much the video guys take for granted...

All that said, it sure sounds nice with those two singing.

Oh Frank,

The C-12 is my absolute favorite microphone in the whole world!

The song sounds great, but for the reason above I was completely distracted by the video. I just couldn't get past the implausibility! (I'm no fun at movies, either. Unless you want to play the boom shadow drinking game...)

My favorite drinking game is the "Hey I think I'll have another drink now" game.

Love the song! John Waite is still a cutie, in my opinion (though I miss the poofy hair!). Wait.. now he's playing the guitar at the piano??! That was a sudden switch...

My favorite drinking game is during election season and you drink whenever a candidate says "... and I approve this message" on a commercial!
