We interrupted the middle of our 11 o'clock news last night to be the first to break that story here in Vegas.... a cop's wife called our assignment desk (laughing) to tell us her husband (on late shift) had just called HER with the news.
We knew we'd be in for a lot of phone calls and visits from the likes of "Inside Edition" the next day. Sure enough, CBS sent their crew, and CNN was knocking around too.
Tonite it leads our 4, 4:30, 5, and 6 o'clock newscasts... like there's nothing more important to talk about!
Even the cops admit he's only being "QUESTIONED"...and is not likely a suspect. But hey....he's OJ, and coincidentally, the Goldman's were on Oprah today....
