We have a stock market course that we want to put on DVD. We need someone familiar with the stock market to read the book, and then proceed to explain its contents using our Powerpoint slides. Your voice will be recorded and used in the DVD.

The Powerpoint has 70 slides.

We are looking for a male between 20 and 40 years old. It's very important that you keep the presentation entertaining, maybe make some jokes. Sound enthusiastic.

You are going to have problems doing this if you don't like to read. This gig requires that you read the 50-page book first.

This is how it will be done. If accepted, you would read the book first, then you would come here and do the recording at our office. There is no script. You should bring your own notes. We'll put you in front of the PC, with the Powerpoint slides on the screen. Then you'll start explaining these as if you were giving a class on the subject. Your voice will be recorded and used in a future DVD course.

So there's no script. You're supposed to read this 50 page book, come up with your own notes and spew them in the studio to accompany 70 powerpoint slides.

$200

Un-effing-believable.

I'm thinkin Craigslist forgot to tell people that it has replaced the "Joke for a Day" hotline.

No sweat...but I couldn't answer this ad, since I don't like to read.

Could someone tell me what the ad said??? Laugh

Here's one.

Q: What is a stockbroker's best friend?

A: Glass.

The thing I love about this ad is not that they're trying to avoid hiring professional VO talent, or even trying to shell out peanuts to professional VO talent; it reads as though they don't even know that professional VO talents exist.

I love starting out my morning with a good laugh.
