I've gotten two emails in the last 24 hours that purport to be from Hallmark, telling me that somebody has sent me an e-card. The email doesn't specify the sender, and there's a link they want you to click to get to the card. The link is actually to a executable Trojan virus file according to some information I found at the Hallmark website.
If you get one of these, don't click on the link. Hallmark suggests you forward the email to abuse@hallmark.com - I did that but my mail was undeliverable. You can also file a complaint at http://www.ic3.gov/. Hallmark says that if you're not sure your e-card notice is legitimate you can use their e-card pickup. |

Wow— watch these proliferate as we hurtle into Holiday season.
My server snags them all as spam, I'm glad to say. Not that they would make trouble but just that they're a pain in the neck. _________________ DBCooperVO.com
