My thanks to many folks who have called, emailed or PM'd me about the really slow load times in the auditions. As I have said, wordpress and the audio players slow everything down.
Well I've created a SOLUTION for fast listening. I've set up a page on my web site (as opposed to the blog) where you can click the audition link of each participant and listen faster.
After you're done listening, click the link on the top of that page to take you back to the voting page of the blog and cast your ballots.
EVERYONE and their mothers (and spouses et al) are encouraged to participate in the voting. _________________ - Peter

then after the winner is announced and placed on hold through his/her agent... they announce it in their newsletter and through postcards... then wait a month... nothing... call their agent and find out that someone at the top (most likely in a suit) at NBC/Uni had their long-time friend, who also does vo, do the gig.
demz da breaks! Good luck everyone. |

Just wondering, could you elaborate on the second, third and fourth meaning? _________________ Esse quam videri "To be rather than to seem"

This evening I received a call from a voice over friend of mine (and VO-BB regular) who is watching the the NBC Voice-Off voting on my blog with great interest and enjoyment. He said he wanted to make it even more interesting and asked if he could donate a prize. I said that wasn’t really necessary but he cut me off and shut my mouth when he said the prize was a MXL 008 Large Gold Diaphragm USB Condenser Microphone. He wants to remain anonymous (what a character!) So this prize will be included to one of the top three vote getters. What a gracious and unexpected donation, thank you!
If you are a voice talent in this voice-off, right about now would be the time I’d start contacting friends, family and anyone who owes you a favor to LEGITIMATELY place their votes. The voting will be open for at least another week.
There isn't another professional I know of (that doesn't make you wear a collar or a habit) where folks are so damn generous like VO folks are. Simply wow. _________________ - Peter

Wow.
One you guys is going to be very lucky!
I don't know enough people who would vote for me after hearing all those other gorgeous voices on there!
And I mean that sincerely -- I wish I could vote for another three or four... it was really a tough choice among all you folks... _________________ Charter Member: Threadjackers Local 420 |

Peter... Will you have a breakdown of all the votes?... how many cast?... how many per person?... or are you just going to tally the votes received by the top three? _________________ "Bailey"

We had a confab here at Camp Cooper and we each chose a different list of 3.
What fun! and totally exhausting.

You're welcome and thanks for voting.
Brett, no one has found chad hanging from anywhere so the voting is going well. I expect some folks might be calling up with PR questions starting Wednesday. We'll get some pub for all the fine voices.
Tell your friends to vote!
Happy New Year all.
