Yet another web site, yet another man who has been in radio for 325 years, yet another voice talent, yet another GREAT set o'pipes, samples include movie trailers and TV promo's.

I do it
You do it
They do it
We ALL fall down ....

You're quite right and they did it first. My point to my male colleagues is that "Yep, me too!" doesn't get you very far so it's makes sense to find their sound as opposed to offer the market something that's already around.

In the UK there is a female "Me too" voice over sound, is there an American "must be able sound like" voice.

I don't believe so— The field seems way more open for ladies.
Stuff I seem to hear consistently on TeeVee includes the sassy black lady sound; the whiny, slightly monotone young-hip sound; the super-elegant fur-and-caviar sound, the uber-white soccer-mom sound.

The guys selling trucks and razors are either Kevin Genus wannabes or Jeff Kafer/Peter O'Connell hopefuls.

Interesting to note that Kevin is hopeful of never again being seen in the same sentence as Jeff Kafer and Peter O'Connell. Unless it includes a photo of a Romanian pre-amp used in a suburb of LA by Voice Talents who need to take the edge off the resonance eminating from their wooden legs.

Mitzi,

I have two British made pre-amps...one with flashy lights and little birdies the come out on the half hour and also when I peak the VU....the other is an ultra sexy red color.....it just stares at you with that come hither look.....asking do want the gain set at 12, 24, 36, 48 or something in between.

No pictures will be posted now. They are sleeping at the present.
