Jeff, I like it. The only thing for me is that the white is to WHITE. It actually bothers my eyes. Yes I did just have a check up and eyes are fine. More along the lines of an egg shell color would be easier to look at.
I also like the Faq section. It should save a few emails back and forth from clients.

The problem with going off-white, Chrissy, is that my graphic designer has all of my logos and buttons on white or black backgrounds. A lot of sites use white backgrounds. I wonder why mine is bothersome. Too much empty white space? _________________ Jeff

You could frame your main container table in another color, meaning that the bg outside your main table could be something else to break up the white-ness. _________________ Lou Zucaro

For image searches, yes, but for regular text searches they don't really weigh much for search rankings. |
Yeah, they do.
Alt text is read as text.
According to Saint Scratch the Good, Patron IT Man of this site:
Quote: | Yes, most search engines, including Google, read images by the image file name and Alt tags. Say a site was created using nothing but graphics, the ALT text would be one of the few elements available for search engines to index, beyond meta containing your keywords. |

Yes, I know they're read by search engines and when performing image searches (like if you go to Google's Images search page) they weigh heavily.
But for a normal web search they're not calculated in as much as text that's in a <p> tag for instance.
Even in your quote, he says that Images are indexed by their alt tags. And if you have an all graphics site with text in alt tags, sure, it'll get indexed, but it won't be ranked as high in the search results (again, when doing a regular web search) as if the text was paragraph text. _________________ Lou Zucaro

Sorry, Lou— what he's saying is text is text, whether associated with images or live html text. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

Yes, but the search engines don't weigh them all equally when considering how to rank pages in the search results, which is my point.
If you "just want to make sure the text gets indexed" then, yeah, Alt text is fine.
If you want to make sure a site is ranked higher because of that text, then consideration has to be given to how the search engine algorithms weigh the different types of text (and other elements such as keyword density, inbound links, etc.) when creating a site. _________________ Lou Zucaro

Yup...page titles especially are still very heavily weighed. _________________ Lou Zucaro

Jeffrey, to answer your question of about a page ago, Yes it's too much white for me but that is my subjective opinion.
