90 (NINETY!!) and still working!
I don't think I'll make it that long, and I really have my eye on that villa on St. Barth's, but that's pretty amazing. _________________ "When I was your age, we had to dial to get online"

truly one of the greats --- the only reason to watch SNL for many, many seasons was to hear don pardo. _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis

At our house when we were kids, several of us used to go around "doing" Don Pardo after hearing him on the radio or TV. Imagine a houseful of girls (and one brother) all "doing" Don Pardo...
Anybody here remember the old SNL skit, "Waiting for Pardo"? _________________ Charter Member: Threadjackers Local 420 |

**thread jack**
When I was in third grade, I lived in Encino, CA - down the street from Gary Owens. His kids went to the same school as me and my brothers. One day we missed the bus, and he drove us to school in his jammies. At the tender age of 9- that's when I KNEW VO people were totally cool, and operated outside of the box. _________________ Moe Egan

There was one season when Don was not the voice of SNL it was when Dick Ebersol took over from Loren Michaels. The voice was staff announcer Mel Brandt.
Well we all know what happened to that decision.
Happy Birthday Don. _________________ A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. |

I've lived in Tucson now for 19 years. What I never knew until today, according to Wikipedia, is that so does Don Pardo.
I'll have to contact a private investigator. Boy, would I love to have coffee with THIS legend! |
