Great job reporting. Your amazing. You can be so calm under pressure.
What did you do when you arrived home from this exciting day? I'm sure Jazz was anxiously awaiting your arrival.

My drive home was wild; lots of rain and winds gusting up to 70 mph. I arrived home at just before 3am and was Collied within seconds.
I was paid quite well for the pilot programme so I'm treating it as "another day, another dollar". There were a lot of very senior BBC people wandering around on the day so the decision to pick-up or abandon will be made fairly quickly.
Looking at the practical side of things, last week I did 20 voice over sessions and Friday accounted for just one of them. I left home on Thursday at around 7pm and got home on Saturday at 3am. Should the series go ahead, would it make sense for me to accept any offer were it to be made? I'm not sure. Have given the matter a little thought but will croos that bridge if and when I come to it. In any event it was great fun. |

Yes - as much "fun" as the live gigs are - there are things to consider when you are forced away from your studio for long periods of time. And some of the fun turns into stress when you do it repetitively - live TV can be nuts.
People wonder why I don't take on a couple more classes at City College - get the health benefits, etc. I find it hard to pry myself from the studio for the 5 or so hours per week that it takes right now! And would the teaching be as fun if I was doing it more often? (Wait! What am I implying here...work must include an element of fun!?
The live gig I did at the end of January was about 3 days away - during the week - not the weekend - so there was a monetary risk involved with leaving town. But these gigs aren't happening with the regularity of a TV show though, so it has made sense so far. _________________ Playing for a living...
