Kara-
WonderPets ROCKS!
I have two daughters and I ALWAYS try to steer them toward WonderPets when they are picking a show from the Tivo!
Great stuff!(and lets not forget the non-animation show Raggs ... just cuz!)
Welcome Ray, as you have found out already there are a BUNCH of fabulous people here.
Enjoy!

OOOOHHHHHH! I am SO MAD!
I typed up this nice long thoughtful post with personal responses to everyone who was so nice to welcome me, and my stupid computer erased it before I could post.
Oh well, I tried. I have to get up at 7 to bake a carrot cake, so I guess that's the end of that.
BOO.

welcome, ray
i've never had to use my kids as an excuse to enjoy the things i like since, fortunately, i never grew up in the first place.
mine are probably the only kids in elementary school/college around here who have equal knowledge of felix the cat, woody woodpecker, rocky and bullwinkle, betty boop, warner bros characters, doctor who, jonny quest, the muppet show, and even flip the frog(!) in addition to all the shows and characters currently in abundance.
as the Doctor once put it: "what's the point of being grownup if you can't act childish?"
good to have another ray of imagination in our family spectrum. _________________ rowell gormon

Hey Ray! Welcome! I'm pretty interested in just about anything animated myself (very interesting going to see Beowulf with all the state-of-the-art CGI ... Fascinating to see where this stuff is headed) and really enjoy a lot of anime (just recently watched the original Macross series that Robotech was based on. Did you ever see that?). I've enjoyed cartoons from a young age, most definitely, and can certainly sympathize with others that have too!
It also sounds like you have a lot of great training! Congratulations on that. Looking forward to hearing the fantastic things you'll do with your demo.
All the best,

Hi Ray,
So glad you're here. I'm anime mad myself and look forward to doing lots of anime in the near future. I'm also crazy for Japanese oriented anime (I've studied the language for around 9 years).
I've got a copy of the DVD Afro Samurai that I can hardly wait to get in to. Welcome to the gang!

More people! Wheee!
Dave(s): Thanks for the welcome! As for the madness . . . bring it.
Rowell: I love the old cartoons as well, though Felix always creeped me out for some reason. If I ever have kids I'm going to make sure they're exposed to the stuff I grew up with--Care Bears, Rainbow Brite, Alvin & The Chipmunks, the Disney Afternoon lineup, TMNT . . . like the rest of the 80's it was so bad it was awesome.
Jodi: Hi! I have to say, I haven't seen Beowulf yet but I really should. For as broad-minded as I am with animation on tv (read: I watch a lot of crap), I am a total Pixar snob when it comes to the big screen. Got to break out of that . . .
Voicy1stef: I totally want to hear about Afro Samurai! It looks awesome! I have to admit, I like some of the worst anime ever. I actually love GokuSen--I mean, it's so horrible, but somehow I became totally addicted.
"Yoda": Yep. It's me. Get ready. |

Tom,
You get up at 2:00 in the morning and you call yourself a slacker? I don't think so. _________________ Be well,

Hi Ray. I think we watched a lot of the same tv growing up. Do you remember the Dungeons and Dragons animated cartoon that used to be on Saturday mornings? They just came out with a box set of it (including the last episode that never aired but was done as a radio show - so it's actually pretty enlightening for voice-talent as the original cast, all except for one, wasn't available and they had to voice-match as best they could...) and I couldn't resist. I had to have it. It's *horribly* bad... but so bad it's good. So yeah - I know what you mean.
Hope you have a great day! _________________ Jodi Krangle @ voiceoversandvocals.com
