Tried to find something on line but no luck....main character in an audio book...Amine. Any suggestions on how to say this name? I was hoping to crank out a hour or two of work today on it I'm stuck till I can figure it out. (in the first chapter she was just called "maiden"...that made things so much easier _________________ Moe Egan

Moe -
That name is most likely a variant of Amina or, alternately spelled, Ameena.
The stress should be on the second syllable, the long vowel in the name.
Hope this helps.

You guys rock. After digging around a bit more on line...turns out it may be a Dutch name (although the character is of Arabic descent).....I've PM'd Edo on this one too! Thanks!!! _________________ Moe Egan

Thanks Bobbin! That's interesting to know what the name means as well, adds to the character ya know? And the pronounciation mirrors what Edo suggested as well.
Never ceases to amaze me what an amazing conglomerate of information and support we have here in this little corner of cyberspace. Thanks again all!! _________________ Moe Egan

And I couldn't agree more, Moe. It's a wonderful family we have here. I'm ever so grateful to be part and hope you won't mind my strange sense of humor. _________________ Be well,
