That's awesome. Oddly enough, we are going to a small dinner party at some friends' house tonight. I've already requested they save the corks for me. They looked at me funny. I explained what the corks are for, and they looked at me like I was loony... Whatever, should end up with half a dozen or so. |

Some of the wines I've had in the past year had a synthetic "cork", kind of rubbery, which may prevent the grit and goo of real cork, as previously mentioned. |

I neglected to mention that, yes, indeed, one of my corks is of the new sort. The wine was really good from Black Swan Vinyards. You gotta understand that I'm not wine expert. In my book, there's only two kind: Good and great.
Now, had one client who paid me with tequila that came with a cork. That one was really good, too. But, that's another thread.

Back from the party with three corks in hand. Two are the syn types, one is real cork. Nobody drank enough for me to collect more, but that's good for now.
It's time for me to head off into a wine assisted slumber. |
