The Antress Modern Expander vst plugin is wicked spiffy and will lower your noise floor by 10 db when used well and still not affect the quality of your sound. Luckily, I got it while it was still free. Their EQ is outstanding too...the rest of their stuff is meh.

Not sure if it has a Roofer or Woodpecker setting.

Ditto on the kids out of school!

Less than 24 hours in, and a trip to the hardware store for spackle is in order. 'Nuff said.

Teenagers whose final weeks in 8th grade are so jam packed they can't remember to tell their parents anything until the last minute. "Oh, I'm attending your performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream this morning at 8:30?"

A neighbor below us, about 300 feet away, is building something in the rear of his property that looks like it might be a two car garage. They just finished putting plywood sheeting on the roof when I heard this loud tearing noise followed by a crash. I ran outside to see it slowly (luckily for them) settling to the ground. I bet they didn’t have a building permit. In his "Best" tag voice -- "No one was harmed in the destruction of the contruction."
