FWIW, my family actually vacationed near the Dells last week, and we had a truly wonderful time. Yes, Lake Delton is gone, but that only affected a very small percentage of all the things you can do there. We had a blast at the waterparks, taking a DUKW ride, feeding the deer, etc. The weather was perfect, too. The lines were very short, which was great for us of course, but bad for all the folks who depend on tourism for their income.

..so if you are in the area and want a truly great family vacation, by all means GO TO THE DELLS! You'll have a memorable time.

Hi everyone,
Well I am back in DRY So. Cal now. What was to be a relaxing and somewhat restful vacation, ended up totally exhausting. But no whining. It could've been worse. Tom---Like at Lake Delton....You know that home that split in half and fell into the emptying lake? That belongs to my neighbor's cousin! Or I coulda been in Cedar Rapids. Caryn, my home is in Dousman, almost smack dab between Milwaukee and Madison.

Thank you all for your kind words and moral support. This is one special place.
One very cool thing happened last night.
Peter O'Connell was in town, so Connie, Carter, me & Pete and James & Penny met up in Old Town for dinner.
Photos of this momentous occasion are sure to be forthcoming between Connie & I. Very fun evening!!!!! Connie wil probably beat me to that post, but I will have some good pics to share, too. I took an especially good one of Connie that she posed especially for Diane Madge-a- Pinto.... (heh)
I have to go take my youngest daughter this AM to her college orientation.

It feels good to be back! HUGS!!!!

(sorry 1 edit for typo)

Bobbin,

It's good to see you're back home. Yes, Connie has all ready posted photos from your meet-up with Peter, but we look forward to seeing your shots, too.
