The leaves have not yet started to turn in my neck o' the woods, just North of New York City, but the temperatures have cooled -- espcially at night.
..and now a lot of football themed commerical copy is coming along.
...and the world keeps spinnin'

Is that anything like the recurring dream I have of being back in school and it's Final Exams week and there is this one class I haven't been to all semester...?
...or the other recurring dream about being back on the air and my record(dating myself) has run out and I can't find another one to play and there is deafening interminable dead air.....?
Yeah, Freud would've had a field day with me... |

My version of that nightmare Rob was sitting in a news studio - in front of the mic with headphones on....the engineer points to me and I've got no copy, no clock, no wx report....just lots of dead air to fill with not one bit of information to fill it with. _________________ Moe Egan

You know, I spent so many years as a teacher, I still get a little queasy in late August.
But now, I save all my anxiety for when my son starts school up again -- and this time... it's JUNIOR HIGH!!! _________________ Diane

I always get a little depressed this time of year.
Summer's over.
Leaves fall,
plants die...another F&*#ing winter in New Hampshire.... |

These are the best days evar.
A couple of trees are already red in places.
The AC is not on all day.
Nights are cooler.
The cats are lounging on the walkway between the house and barn.

JC,
As a northerner (Minnesota originally) transplanted to Charlotte, North Carolina I would gladly trade winters with you, were it possible to effect such a trade. Lots of folks around here would hate me, but I wouldn't care. I'd have snow and some real cold weather. Hog heaven as far as I'm concerned. _________________ Be well,

OK, Bob. On an 'average' winter, I might agree with you.
But last year was KILLER.
The most snow in over 100 years.
And now, with gas and oil prices so high...I am NOT looking forward to those bills! My last oil tank fillup was $944. NO kidding.
So that's why Im just NOT looking forward to winter this year. |

JC,
I hear you. Even last year's, I'd still swap in a heartbeat. No kidding. If ... _________________ Be well,

I'll go with Deeb on this one. The nights are cooler - perfect for relaxing by the brook in the late afternoon, no more ac or fans to work in the studio by day.....sorry my cats are all mentally damaged, seasons are meaningless to them...unless you're talking snow.
Looking forward to the change and winter evenings by the fire...and...in the new 2nd floor studio...NO CRICKETS!

It's a pretty good time of year here, too.
A particularly cold and wet winter is drawing to a close.
Hopefully, we won't have too many more frosts until next year.
Almond trees are blossoming their little hearts out, the canola's flowering.
The birds have thawed and are starting to sing again, albeit with a slighty shivery, shaky voice.
Spring is here! .gif" alt="W00T" border="0" /> |

A basement studio Liz?
That was my problem for years. Great sounding room...until fall.
The weird thing about Crickets (clickets) is you can't always tell what direction the chirp is coming from. Tough to squash the little buggers in time for the session when you can't locate 'em! _________________ Wicked huge.....in India.

THAT. IS. MY. PROBLEM!
Actually I'm on the ground floor (house is a Ranch)...there's one that I just can't find...driving me NUTS! (Squashed one a couple of days ago, then another one showed up!)
