|
|
...not nearly as profitable as the Master's, no doubt, but it feels good to be doing more than reading Mr. B's list of daily triumphs.
Day started doing a cartoony Wise Guy phone message for a pizza place in Jersey.
Short break...then a radio spot as a put-upon father-of-the-bride for a jewelry store in Fargo.
Segued into engineer mode to record Spanish-language talent narration for Susan B. Komen for the Cure (Breast Cancer) website tutorials.
Brief lunch with young son, Ricky, and then back to engineer IVR session for a company in Michigan.
Fill out and fax forms to CurrentTV, for whom I did a quick animation character yesterday (Uncle Sam).
Get a surprise call from a friend's studio in Nashville...resulting in 4 TV VO's for g-i cancer clinics in Knoxville. Cranked up the ISDN one more time and knocked 'em out in an hour.
Rest of afternoon, back at the less-glamorous job of transferring mini-cassette transcriptions to cd.
Check mailbox for those glorious sacks of.......more bills.
sigh.
ah well. just goes to prove, only philip banks gets to have a philip banks day every day. (but thanks for the inspiration!)
edited with additional - it may be beneficial to invoke the Master's name, though. just booked a character narration for next week...first successful audition for an agency i've been submitting to for a year! _________________ rowell gormon

Rowell, that's fantastic! Gotta love a day like that, for sure. Reading it kinda tired me out though so I think I'll go open a bottle of white. _________________ 006 member of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Mic. Bonded by sound.

Rowell,
I'm delighted to hear of your good and busy day. May you have many more of them all in a row. (And like you, I aspire to having a few Connie Terwilliger days.) _________________ Be well,

Connie,
I think I can safely say I don't need any excuses to raise my post count. _________________ Be well,

I WANT THAT, TOO!!! Well, except L&O. I'd want a few gigs thrown in. _________________ 006 member of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Mic. Bonded by sound.

A "Philip Banks Day" involves no work and a lot of dog walks. I live in Portgordon! Who on earth is going to use a Voice Over in Portgordon? |
