Hey Folks!

I tried to look up past posts about Voiceoverdirectory.com but I couldn't get any results. I'm not a member, but they now have 26 spaces available for advertisement, 4 of which have already been taken.

Marc Cashman is the one who sent out the notice and well, I decided to buy a space. Now I have a month to create a fancy non-flash pixel advertisement.
Since I'm only a member of Voices.com right now, I though I might as well add some more exposure.

But being the occasional careful person that I try to be, I have to hear it from others.

Have I done the right thing?

Later!
Mary

I am the simple type of person. Not complicated at all (oh yeah...hahahaha). This is not a bad thing as placed in the context of your question "Have I done the right thing"?

I always ask: "Who is the intended recipient of the message"? In this case is the advertisement designed for your peers in the VO world? Or, is it geared toward the people who hire VO Artists? Add on this thought, "what category of the above types is the website designed to reach"?

Know the difference between advertising and marketing before you place your order. At this point, I suggest you have fun and use the space on the website as "marketing" and have fun with your creation.

Good luck Mary,

Toodles

I bought a space back in January and I can't say I've seen any kind of response from it. just my .02.
