If someone deposits money into my PayPal account, is there any way for them to take it back out?
Here's the deal, I want to sell a camcorder to someone with a PayPal account. If the buyer deposits the payment into my PayPal account and I ship the camcorder to them, is there any way for them to scam me and take the money out?

As far as I know, they shouldn't be able to do that without making a complaint to Paypal about your service.
It is simple to refund, from your end, though, should the need arise.
Make sure they pay instantly and do not use an Echeck. Sometimes clients have made payments to me by Echeck, which takes 4-5 days to clear, and when that happens you get an email from Paypal to say that you should not send the goods until the Echeck has cleared,
It might be worth checking with Paypal themselves, as it may just be something I have never come across. |

Now I am sorry that I started this post. Please forgive me... I should have called PayPal. Just leaning on friends, I guess. Perhaps an emoticon will patch things up.
Anyway, I just called PayPal. They informed me that the buyer could not simply take the money back. If there were a dispute over the merchandise received, they could go through the resolution center and possibly get a refund but that's it.

You could be doubly sure by shoveling the money out of the account as fast as they shovel it in
Some people keep a separate account for that purpose. |

Hey that's what I do. I got one of Paypal's debit cards. As soon as somebody pays into my paypal it's straight to the ATM at the bank. Heard to many horror stories. |
