cosmetically it looks pretty good - even the mount - which is usually one of the 1st things to get lost ...

He responded to me:

"I have had three others of these over the years and the sound great in my opinon."

This is crazy. Imagine I sold an antique car without axles and said "It runs great...all the other cars like it with axles over the years have driven great in my opinion."

Utter full-throttle nonsense!

I bet if you throw it against a bell it makes a nice bell sound, and if you throw it at a window it makes a convincing representation of the sound of shattering glass.

Sounds great, dood!!!

Personally, I do judge people by their spelling errors.

Grammar too.

/I see that misuse of tense there

Still, this is amusing.

He's chosen to post the following Q&A about the cable (or lack thereof);

Q: Your listing indicates that the microphone sounds great. But the cable is cut! So how do you know what kind of condition the mic is in? Did you use the microphone before cutting the cable? Thanks, Rich Aug-13-08

A: Hi Rich, I got this one with the cable cut. I meant to say that these mics in general are great sounding. I have had three of them. I guess I should have worded it a bit different. Bill

Hummmmm -- no negative feedback ... hummmmm -- but NO return policy ... hummmmm -- and how to quickly check if it works with no cord!!!!???

D'oh! You beat me to it. After reading the posts here, I couldn't resist asking the question.

If I had spare cash and I was a micaholic I'd probably consider it. But since I don't, and I'm not (yet), I'll pass.

Rich

The seller sounds like a stooge. Expect the mic to sound like utter crap (which it probably does) and you won't be disappointed.
