|
|
Hi Guys,
In preparation for my assault on the talent agencies here in SoCal, I have redesigned my site. I would love to hear any feedback you may have both good and bad. I should have my demos back from duplication next week so I would like to have any changes finalized before then.
The Site
Thanks,
Rich |

Rich,
I like the site...very nice. HOWEVER, unless its just me...the bottom of each page (copyright notice etc) is doubling or overwriting/duplicating.

Thanks for catching that. There was a problem with the order I placed the elements. I fixed it and now it displays properly. |

Rich,
I like your site a lot! It's a great example of how a clean, simple design can still have some impact, and an impressive, professional look to it. (And I love the subtle shadow under your audio player...nice web 2.0 touch).
I did notice a couple of tiny typos, (capitalization, etc.) but with my English background, I tend to be overly picky about that stuff. The only one that really stands out to me is on your ABOUT page. I think that "hosting his own radio talk show," should read: "hosting my own radio show". Just my two pennies.
Good work on the site! |

That's exactly what I needed Doug. I want to make sure that all of the little things I missed are resolved. Normally I'm picky about grammar, punctuation, etc, but after all the work on the design I'm a little burned out.
Thanks for the feedback! |

Rich,
I, too, like the design and ease of use of your site. Given the very lean and clean design, I wonder if it would make sense to have your demos right on the front page and eliminate that sub-page?
And, assuming they stay, I'm very grateful for the links! You are more than kind. _________________ Be well,

Thanks for the kind words everyone.
Bob:
I thought about that, and the reason why I created its own section was for growth. I plan on increasing the amount of content on each of the pages as time goes on and felt like rather than change navigation later, I would just set it now with future growth in mind. Thanks for the suggestion though.
And thank you for the links as well. I really appreciate it. |

Hi Mushmelon, are you seeing it on every page and what version of IE are you running?
Thanks,
Rich |

VERY nice Rich! I like the clean look of the white, blue and black. Also, I've viewed the site on IE6 and the latest Firefox. No problems |

Clean, simple... easy to navigate. I agree that I'd put the demos right on the front page. |

After careful consideration, I decided to put the demos on the front page. Bob and Tom are right. It's the best place for them. If it is my voice that I'm showcasing, then I need to showcase properly.
Thanks everyone for your suggestions and comments. It's good to get other people's eyes on your work before you take it live. I have a few minor things to do related to SEO and adjusting content for the removal of the Demos link, but I think I will be done today.
