This isn't a particular style, it's a montage. But I just finished producing it and it makes me laugh, so here it is.

I can't upload a file of my favorite style can I? It's not on a website, so I don't have a link for it. shoot! Well, if I ever have it posted somewhere I'll post the link to it. In the mean time, here is a link to my actual favorite delivery style. It's not really a commercial, so it doesn't count. It's just a sample liner of me promoting a website that promotes me and a handful of other VO artists. Each of us provide a quick liner thanking people for visiting the site etc and then ask them to visit our own page. Anyway, in reality, no commercial would be done this way, but it would be my favorite if it were! hahahaha here it is:

Here it is!

"Idiopathic" is one of my all-time favorite words. Especially when paired with "coccygodinia". Translation: a PITA of unknown origin.

Cool work Kitzie. You got a nice style.

I guess my favorite style is political spots, the more outrageous the better. I get to let loose and say things I couldn't say elsewhere. Here's my demo:

Bruce's Politcal Demo

The last thing on there is a piece I did for an Atlanta radio station that was doing a "Don't get out and vote" campaign (reverse psychology I believe).

Last year, an acquaintance called me to let me know that the RV-dealer group where he worked was planning on changing broadcast advertising agencies. He asked if I had any ideas which he could take to management. They had been using a well-known local talent, who has his own agency and production company, and that had worked very well, but there was some sort of disagreement, so they were looking for somebody new.

There was some sort of "Big Hollywood" agency pushing for their business, but he wasn't crazy about their approach. I explained that whenever I get involved in creative, it ALWAYS turns into some sort of disaster, but I'd give him some samples, anyway -- only he had to remember that I was doing it just for fun - I'm not a production company or an advertising agency - and that I didn't expect anything to come of this.

Here are the three samples I presented: http://www.SayTheWords.com/Travis-TravelandUSA.mp3

He called back to say the company management LOVED the spots, but decided to go with the "BigTime Hollywood" agency, cause they had some sort of track record.

They ran the Hollywood agency spots, (which were expensive and pretty bad) for a month, and their business dropped considerably. That prompted them to work things out with their original guy, and things returned to their original state. I was glad for all of this, 'cause I got to produce some spec spots I actually like, and although the ideas went nowhere, at least there was no horrible painful result - I had fun.

Kitzie: That was great! You sound so smooth!

TGG: I'm sure it sounds great but I couldn't hear it. I don't use Realplayer.

Bruce, dude, you fit in anywhere. Just a great set o-pipes!

Travis, those samples were excellent! They should've used you.

Like Phillip, I have enjoyed listening to all of you. You all sound sooo guud! I am humbled before you and proud to be in such company!

cool
