I've been a big fan of David McRaney for quite some time and his book is one of the best things I've ever read. His blog posts on the site by the same name, http://youarenotsosmart.com are golden.

He just came out with a new book called, "You Are Now Less Dumb". I'd recommend sending either book to anybody who says "Hey, I've been told I have a nice voice, so I figured I'd get into this voice over thing."

As for the trailer, I'd say room tone or not, it's better than about 75% of the stuff I see voice talent pointing "self-congratulatory" links to.
