Crap, if you'd have said Ukulele, you could have christened yourself the perfect man.
But, alas, it appears you're just human.
Carry on. _________________ - Peter

Philip's story reminds me of an old Taoist parable. It's told in many different ways with a few different details but the story remains the same.
A farmer named Sei Weng owned a beautiful mare which was praised far and wide. One day this beautiful horse disappeared. The people of his village offered sympathy to Sei Weng for his great misfortune. Sei Weng said simply, "Who can say what is good or bad?"
A few days later the lost mare returned, followed by a beautiful wild stallion. The village congratulated Sei Weng for his good fortune. He said, "Who can say what is good or bad?"
Some time later, Sei Weng's only son, while breaking in the stallion, fell off and broke his leg. The village people once again expressed their sympathy at Sei Weng's misfortune. Sei Weng again said, "Who can say what is good or bad?"
Soon thereafter, war broke out and all the young men of the village, except Sei Weng's son with the broken leg, were drafted and were killed in battle. The village people were amazed at Sei Weng's good luck. His son was the only young man left alive in the village. But Sei Weng kept his same attitude: despite all the turmoil, gains and losses, he gave the same reply, "Who can say what is good or bad?"
What I love about this story is the way it points out that experiences can be both good and/or bad - and may not always be what they seem at the time. Sometimes what they are depends only upon our point of view. Philip lives that wonderfully. _________________ www.melissaeXelberth.com

So if I understand this correctly, Phillip is a female horse with a broken leg?
We don't have to shoot him, then, do we?
That would seem to extreme to me _________________ - Peter

Is Sei Weng related to Schroedinger? _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

Schrödinger's horse is another matter entirely.

...But can you ride him...and not ride him at the same time?
I was on the East Coast...and STILL missed Philip. BOO!
And yes...I LOVE the perspective shift. _________________ Liz de Nesnera O.A.V. ~ Livin' The VO Dream!

Well, before we were to try and ride her, the horse would be in the superposition of being both rideable and unrideable. The act of trying to ride her would inevitably force a change of state.
The fundamental axiom of the Copenhagen Interpretation and Schrödinger's Horse diverge when it comes to determining exactly when a quantum system stops existing as a superposition of states and becomes only one or the other. More specifically, just when does the actual quantum state stop being a linear combination of states, (each of which resembles different classical states) and begin to have a unique classical description?
I mean....what??? _________________ Doug Turkel (tur-KELL)
