I think the statement is great Bish. Again, it gets the point across without going global thermo nuclear on a potential business partner for many of the members.
As an advocacy group your mission is to support the members, and empower them to make their own choices and take action. _________________ http://www.paulstefano.com |

Nothing is perfect, but I am proud of the statement that World Voices made. As was noted earlier in this thread, WoVO does need to bear in mind that it represents folks with various opinions. And yes, in this case, the majority are in the "this is really really not okay with us" camp.
WoVO did indeed call out the egregious behavior of P2Ps in the statement, and set down concrete things the membership can do as individuals. IMO, part of an effective organization is empowering their membership with resources and actions that will help make a difference. I hope that this all is a wake-up call to these P2P businesses that shady dealings are not okay with us, and that we can do something about it -- and to VOs that their opinions and voices matter. _________________ * * * * * * * * * *

The particular business is doing what many businesses can and should do. Maximising opportunities to cross sell and up sell. Obvious next step was to (and this always makes me laugh even if it is a genuine piece of marketing jargon) work the back end thoroughly.
Buyers, both VO people and producers need to ensure value for their money as it is certainly not the responsibility of the business to give as if it were a right.
Many who have swallowed the Easy Way to an MBA Handbook use the term "Due Diligence". For most it is merely another piece of jargon followed by, in some cases, box ticking. Reality is that it is always asking the informed question to be as sure as is reasonably possibly that you the business person aren't going fall through a trap door into a Shark Tank.
I have opinions on how businesses should behave and they are based upon three words, legal, decent and honest. For the most part ..BAD FORM! Casts out many a Demon! |

An image that will take years of therapy to erase.
WOVO missed a trick as Karyn's winning smile would surely convince the Scurvy Knaves at ...y'know, north of most of you, of anything.
A smile, a matey wink and then in her best RP "I say you fellows let's see you playing off a straight bat from now on. More tea?" |

Karyn and I will be in Vegas this weekend with other WoVO board members... we should take that winning smile to the casinos! _________________ Bish a.k.a. Bish

Ahhh the old distraction ploy! I see several million dollars in your future less a modest commission for the hot girl. |

Awww, Philip, Bob, and Peter, you are so kind and sweet.
You totally made my day.
I'll give the wink and the RP a go at the casino tables. Couldn't hurt ...
