I'm with Tom on ripping through it.... but almost always the word "NUMBERS" can be used in place of "STATISTICS" in most copy.

I did bristle at the thought of erroneously labeling a mite as an insect in some copy recently, but said nothing.

But I had fun great fun trying to figure out how to say: "PHREATOMAGMATIC ERUPTIONS" just the other day in some copy.

Yee-Haw!
