I could not afford to show my ugly mug on my site, so I hid behind a microphone. Does that count?

Oh, Welcome aboard the board!

Welcome aboard Brett. In spite of what others may say... the VO-BB is a very serious website. As a new member, you should be receiving your monthly offering envelopes shortly... and as a new member... you are expected to bring donuts this Friday. Enjoy your stay.

I'd offer you a chair, but it appears our chair fund is being spent on street repairs in Maine.

Hey Brett!!! Anyone who has wheels like that is always welcome here. One way you can get in good with this group is to offer rides on that gorgeous bike. Since I came up with the idea ME FIRST.

Hi Brett welcome aboard from the land of the Scottish ones.

To everyone, just on a general point (and other than cliche), whats the deal about having/ not having mics on your site?

Actually, that's exactly it: Mics are cliche.

Aha, excellent, kinda says what we do though doesn't it? Although just for the record I don't have one on my site. Smile

I mean, if you are a college or university, then you would have a picture of a big imposing building to show how serious and academic you are, or a trucking firm would have a pic of a truck.......to shoot my own point in the foot, I have a particular aversion to masks of comedy and tragedy being used by actors!!! I think mics are fine if you dial in a little imagination and futz with them somewhat....

BUT....

STAY AWAY FROM THE SHURE 55, PLEASE!!

They're evil. They are trying to take over the world by first infiltrating every VO website they can sneak into. Unfortunately, their onslaught seems unstoppable.

OK Maiku, I'm thoroughly creeped out!

I'll never sing like Elvis again.

to read about Microphones on websites and why there is a semi-pervasive philosophy on the matter, read THIS.
