Deebs,
I think they used your old apartment as the model for the Saw movies.

Do you want to play a game?

All right, here is the scoop. Lath and plaster in the ceiling of the basement, 12" cement walls. Cut large hole in ceiling - then the entire ceiling of the room I was working in comes down.

Next, new 10' pipe section and major difficulty in getting the old pipe out of the house.

New no-freeze spigot, pipe, and ceiling. Total cost near $1,000.00 and a full day shot to pieces. Oh, and I have not replaced the ceiling - yet.

Toodles

Frank F

Todd, I couldn't get the plane booked in time, sorry. Maybe next time???

frank - i am deeply sorry for your loss. home repair is a bee-otch!

plaster & lathe ceiling - doesn't get much worse than that.

i ran voice & data cables for my father-in-laws new office in a building that has been remodeled several times over the past 100 years. EVERY wall had sheet rock over 3/4" tongue-in-groove over plaster & lathe with blown-in insulation under that. i completely burned up the motor in my saws-all by the end of the day.

ugh!
