i used to call bingo every wednesday night at the knights of columbus. let me tell ya - there is no crankier species on the planet than a 80 year old, pall-mall smoking woman who thinks she just got cheated in bingo. those women would rob you blind if you let them --- crazy ! and the smoke!!! when i quit working bingo i had to go on the patch. _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis

Well it's over. It was fun but incredibly exhausting. The jokes got more groans than laughs as I expected which is part of the fun.
I called out a wrong number once or twice, man, you should have seen the looks I got. _________________ Jeff

Reminds me of the time several years ago when I dressed up as W.C. Fields and wandered through a major casino in the area (yes, I was invited to do it). I hung around the Bingo parlor for a while, and two numbers into a new round of the game I yelled out "Bingo!". Yes, if looks could kill....

I know exactly from where you speak. As I have stated before, I emcee the Pub Quiz at Ri-Ra every Tuesday night. I've been doing it for almost 10 years now! (sheesh) The AOL City Guide called our quiz the "deadly trivia" for a couple of reasons. The regulars are SINCERE fans of the game, meaning if someone in the crowd speaks out of turn or says an answer out loud instead of writing it down they are attacked before I have a chance to say anything. That same enthusiasm turns on ME when:
1. I mispronounce something
2. They disagree with the answer
3. They win t-shirts that are the same as the 50 they have at home.
For the most part these people have waaaaay more useless knowledge packed away than I do. Especially questions like "what was the first city in history to be completely evaculated?" Or when a question deals with a territory that is drawn up vastly differently today and who owned what at the time of the question, etc... They can be brutal. _________________ Try to imagine a world where there is no such thing as hypothetical situations.

But honestly...is there anything MORE fun than pissing off BINGO players?!
I can't think of anything more enjoyable. _________________ - Peter

So, we were driving home from Nashua last night and passed a sign for Friday Night MEAT Bingo!
The mind boggles at what would piss THOSE players off...
