A blizzard?

I got an email from a colleague at the Royal Observatory Edinburgh who said it was snowing/freezing rain there (a day or two back, as I recall)... what is happening with this crazy weather!

Good luck on the construction! I echo the sentiment that pix would be lovely when you get time...

My office looks like an air raid shelter after a direct hit. I have panels, a floor, ceiling, Bavarian loaded door, ventilation "stuff" and a variety of bit n bobs. It took two of us about 30 minutes and a back injury to unload the van.
Mmmmmmmm what now? Script arrived so using my minimalist Huttie MkI I get to work. This morning another script and then a phone call about doing 2 TV commercials ....No rush, NOW WILL DO!!!!

Mmmmmmmm thimnpkt thimnpkt thimnpkt. Phone Richard and then jump into car with Jazz. For those of you what doesn't know Richard are another voice. We plan a plan while taking Jazz, Maisie and Poppy for a walk.

I'll work around things until Friday evening and then will take myself out of service. Do a bit of wrecking and prepping ready for Richard's arrival on Saturday at 10am. Hope fully by Saturday afternoon HuttieII will be Huttie-ing.

that's so ... so ... last week.

good luck with every little thing, banksey.

Philip,

It is truly delightful to read these updates, though I am sorry to learn about the back injury.

I'm sure Kevin the delivery driver will be fine. Jazz spilled coffee on him to take his mind off it. I suggested lifting with his legs but he said he needed them to walk into my office. There's no helping some people.

Philip, perhaps you can pre-record all jobs that might come in during your hiatus.

Good luck.

My eyes be playing tricks on me. I thought Diane told you to "lift your leg". I knew she wasn't directing that at Jazz, so it conjured up quite a picture, until I re-read the post. Whew.

Sounds like a similar experience I had recently......1500 pound crate delivered on a semi-truck.....panels.....ceiling....door (not deserts in this door though).....floor.....foam etc. However, the next day is when all the snow came. 20" in 24 hours. Most we have had in a 24 hour period in over 100 years.

Many sore backs and bruised egos ....as we attempted to carry everything in the house and put the monster thing together in the studio.

Philip, you must be excited about the all new Huttie II. Looking forward to some sound and pix once you're set up!

I think I may have gained a foot a lost 12 inches with the Huttie2. If anyone wants to listen and make comments feel free WAV

Even with the grey foam the room was very live so I pressed my trusty staple gun into action along with some old duvets. There may not be much wrong with the raw room to others but I needed to hear my old sound or better. The window? No, no ,no made things ring like a ..ringing thing!

To my less than golden ears, it just sounds like you.

I didn't hear a bit of room noise in that take.
