Ironic that a motor car displays better taste than its owner!!! |

LOL! That wasn't what I meant at all, my friend! But, keep in mind a car only has one outfit! |

Okay, even though this thread has really meandered, I can't resist showing off my baby. Only because I rebuilt it from the ground up by myself. I didn't do the final spray on the paint (I know my limitations), but I did all the bodywork and prep.
First the before:
Now the after:
This isn't my daily driver, mind you. Just my weekend fun toy. It is also my first, and probably last, restoration.

yowsers!!! That's one sweet car!
Good on ya Jeff!
How the heck did we get onto the whole car thing anyway?? Didn't it start with a request for a picture of Kevin from DB?...
Hey Kevin, I challenge you to post a picture of yourself that out does Jeff's car!
Betcha can't! _________________ Brian Forrester Voice Overs

Chevy Pimp Van Exterior, Nov. 18 2005
Chevy Pimp Van Interior, Nov. 18 2005
Well, DB was talking about a picture of the truck, so here it is, my Chevy van. Good for short and long trips, but not into DC, parking garages tend to be a problem .... that's a different. Does it compete with a convertible, hell no, but that's what a motorcycle is for. _________________ Genus |

Mirror mirror on the ceiling...
As Jabba the Hutt would say "you're my kind of scum".
I don't think Sammy Johns ever had a Chevy Van like yours! Nice ride, Kevin!
Hey, since you brought up motorcyles and convertibles, check these carbs!

Hmm. I think I'm ready to reconsider Deirdre's long-ago pronouncement that all we gals care about is that the vehicle is clean and smells good. If all we had to go on was the car, I think I'd be going to Italy and flagging down that cab.
Or staying home and cruising in the butter-yellow truck.
[actually - beat me - I'd rather ride my bicycle  ] |

Damn that's nice.... Okay, here's an embarrasing picture. My brother and I bought this old Volvo 122 for $800.00 as a brotherly project. It sat around for over a year, then my brother moved to Maine, we sold it to Grass Roots Motorsports who promissed to give it the love we didn't!!
Before:

After:
I still love that car ... I'll tell you about the 1971 Mach I one day.
DB, we need a car section, please. _________________ Genus |

Could this mean that Darwin was right?
The VO-BB has evolved into a Car & Driver-BB ?
Nah... this must be a mutation. _________________ "Bailey"

Well Bailey, how about a "Mode of transport"- BB
Here's my golden shiny wheels: (the scooter in my avatar was not mine , and it's in Arizona anyway...)
Best way in NYC - insurance is high, getting around is slow in a car, and it can cost more than the rent on an apartment to garage a car!
I must say, I'm really impressed with the smooth wagons my colleagues have! What style! |
