About the "abouts"!... we say it perfectly up here in proper Canada 'eh!
It's something that I really have to be more concious of... it tends to get picked off very quicly whenever I send something down to the states. I'll hopefully be taking a dialect class in sometime in February... just to help bring the little Canadianisms into the front of my mind!

Well, I picked up on that one because it made me laugh and remember something else. Back when I was a program director I had a woman on the air who was from Detroit. She said "about" the same way you do and it drove those Southern Alabama boys nuts. |

Thank God No! What I meant by that was that some of the male members of our audience found her accent hot. If I found your accent hot I think we would have some serious issues.  |
