OK...I just spent an hour reading all 16 pages.
Am I allowed to post now????
I, too, like many here, are mourning the death of Savvy. As I come upon my first year of FULLTIME VO, I learned a lot from all of you there. Thanks for the guidance, support and fun. I can only hope I get more of the same here(and judging by this thread...with Llamas, chocolate & tea-oh my!...I'll get more of the same).
Chris M, Diane H, Colin, Moe(my buddy), DB, Yoda...and so many others...Your postings are passionate. and honest...something surely missing from "the new Savvy."
I was never one of the "Top 40" Posters there, but read quite a bit, and posted a bit too. I will no longer post there. I could talk all day about what's WRONG over there, but will refrain since most of it has already been said.
I will be happy, though, to sip some tea...Munch on some dark chocolate...but please...throw in some Mango & Kiwi too will ya???!!!!
-Voicingly Yours

Well, we've been waiting for you, JC -- what took you so long?? And now the tea is cold and there's no more cake -- but we might be able to find some cucumber or watercress sandwiches for you. Don't ask for chocolate, by any means -- and ... I do hope you're not a vegetarian. Things could get ugly.
Good to see you here, man. _________________ Diane

OK...so, from Savvy to the Red Arrow.
THERE's a stretch!!!
[For the rest of you, NOT from NH, Red Arrow is one of the top 10 diners in the USA. A little spot in Manchester that's the best greasy spoon around, know for breakfast, PIES(ummm.....PIES.....), and more.] |

Funny thing is that when this first started, the ever-traveling Bob Souer and I got into a discussion relating to the saavy forums, the new boards, and the company in general.
Sure there's a lot wrong over there, but here's the point which I came away with (decided to listen to my own advice), "you can't wake someone who's pretending to be asleep."
I think that sums up most of the issues discussed within this thread. _________________ Voiceovers by Gregory Houser
