I readily admit I'm a dope with symbolism.
I recognized the M*A*S*H* pic right away, but for the life of me, don't get how it related to SaVOa......OR sunken boats.

Dave, since you're not here in the Northeast, you are probably not as attuned to the event Erik is spearheading (VO get-together next Friday, December 5th at Butterfield 8 in New York City) as some of us in the Tri-State region are.
The only symbolism in showing sinking boats or the M*A*S*H 4077th "swamp" is to suggest that Erik has been swamped, with the additional work of dealing with organizing the get-together on top of his SAVOA activities (such as they are) and, oh yes, his own VO career.

Thanks, Lee....and others. I am truly a 1st-grader with reading innuendo and hidden meanings sometimes. I worry about me.
Part of the confusion is that I connect Ed Gambill more with SaVOa than Erik, so I had a disconnect there.
Has anyone heard if Ed got elected to the NC state senate on Nov. 4th... or am I behind in that too?

You're right, it's Ed who's the big Kahuna with SAVOA and Erik is an active member. But I think maybe whomever first linked Erik's VO get-together project with SAVOA in this thread made the same somewhat erroneous connection, which is how we got off on this tangent in the first place.

Actually Erik is one of the Directors along with our dear Robert Jadah and a few others.
Ed is the Chair & Nikki Saco is the Vice Chair.
