Caryn,

I can't promise more photos. It was Mr. Banks who carried the camera. But, yes, we had a wonderful time talking about all manner of matters, sometimes even voiceover.

Willie, haggis tastes better than grits. No contest. And all the puddings were quite delightful. No one 'got me' to eat anything. I ordered the meal of my own free will, though it was Mr. Banks who paid. The puddings came with a lovely steak, by the by, so it was a wonderful meaty meal, made even better by the wonderful view and the even more wonderful company.

Dan, I'm ever so glad I answered that Craig's List ad; the only one I've ever answered. And Ben, the 3 hour drive didn't seem like a bad deal to me. Our first 4 hour lunch together continues to shine brightly in my memory.

Connie, thank you for your beautiful post. You're right. We are truly blessed to live at a time when connections can be made and made deeper through both virtual and real worlds. I'm ever so much looking forward to seeing you and many of our other friends again in August.

Moe, I don't know where this sits on the "meet up" scale. I still think Lou's baby-sitting for Amanda ranks at the top of the all-time list; but spending 24 hours in Portgordon is an experience I will never forget. It is truly a very special place for a multitude of reasons.

Philip, I'm ever so grateful for the hospitality. Give Jazz a hug from me. (And no, Liz, I didn't kiss either Philip or Jazz. Sorry.)

Philip:

You are a lucky man as you now know the good fortune so many of us have had spending time with Bob Souer.

And what great picture quality on the self portrait.

How. Cool.
Connie, I totally agree!
This is an amazing community that has leaped from the confines of the keyboard & monitor into the real/global arena!.

Really. Cool!

Here is Bob on his first space walk. Notice he never is far from the mic.

Mike,

Great fun. Thank you. I do keep my mic with me pretty much all the time, but it's tough to get phantom power to work properly in those space suits. Laugh And Todd, yes indeed, the trip home is always the best one.

Knowing Bob... it'll probably happen.

And it would really boost his Frequent Flyer Miles!

Right on the money Connie! This place is very special. We are all very blessed to be here and know each other. Getting a chance to meet up with each other in 3D is gravy!

Moe.... that SO sounds like one of those silly taglines you get at the end of the David Letterman show, when you see the "WorldWide Pants" logo.

Anybody know whose voice that is BTW?
