Help! My recordings have a distinct buzz that I can't seem to get rid of. Can anyone provide any insight. Check out the "sound check.wav" file hosted here:

http://public.me.com/rhearn

My studio set up is as follows.

- Digi Design Mbox plugged directly in to Mac Mini
- Pro Tools LE
- Audio Technica AT4033a mic plugged directly into the Mbox
- 20' Pro Link Standard 100 high clarity ultra flexible mic cable by Monster Cable
- 5 x 7 Whisper Room iso booth with 80% of the OC703 bass traps and absorption panels I plan to install (I still need to install a cloud.)
- Power cords are routed a good distance from all audio cables

I start hearing the buzz in the input whenever I record enable a track in Pro Tools. So I'm guessing the problem is the mic or mic cable.
Thanks for your insight.
Raymond

Try some of these things from my FAQ.

This is one of the most frustrating problems in recording to deal with. I've seen it effect Macs, PC's, usually desktops, rarely laptops.

George, I appreciate the feedback. I'll try your suggestions and see what happens. BTW, I have the original Mbox and not the Mbox 2. But I see that Digidesign's website says this problem can occur with any Mbox although, they're quick to point out that the noise is rarely the Mbox's fault. How convenient?
